Evelyn + Rex

Of all the wonderful places in the world, Evelyn and Rex saw in Portugal the ideal destination to celebrate their wedding. The honesty and sympathy of the locals won them over and invited them to spend one of the most important day of their lives here.
In our wonderful country in the corner of Europe, were everything you eat and drink is divine, were people smile when they exchange glances with unknown people and were everything happens in a calm and relaxed manner.

All these features are perfect for those who want to prolong the wedding day and enjoy a few days with family and close friends. The Destination Wedding tradition is very popular in the United States of America and fortunately Portugal is getting more and more popular.

Being part of the vendors selected by Evelyn and Rex was such a pleasure.
Today everything is just a click away (it’s awesome). When we met through Skype, Evelyn was in San Francisco, Rex was in New York and we were in Lisbon. They both work has creative and the first thing we heard from them was: We locked at your work and we love it! We trust your judgment!
And so it was! They gave us total creative freedom and trusted us until the end.

Evelyn and Rex’s wedding took place in a majestic twelfth century Monastery. Recently renovated by the Pritzker Prize winner, Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto de Moura. Today it has the luxury hotel Pousada de Santa Maria de Bouro. The stunning venue created a perfect connection between history and a modern day couple. Perfect!

The ceremony was conducted in a sweet and tender way. Rex’s father was the special celebrant.
Evelyn and Rex wrote their vows together and shared them with all the guests.
Behind our cameras, at least one of us cried with all the beautiful words they had to say.

A honestidade e simpatia dos moradores conquistou-os e convidou-os a passar um dos dias mais importantes das suas vidas aqui. No nosso país maravilhoso, neste cantinho da Europa onde tudo o que se come e bebe é divinal, onde as pessoas sorriem quando trocam olhares com desconhecidos e onde tudo acontece com calma e descontração.

Todas estas características são perfeitas para quem pretende prolongar o dia do casamento e desfrutar de alguns dias com a família e amigos próximos. Esta tradição de Destination Weddings é muito popular nos Estados Unidos da América e felizmente Portugal está a tornar-se num destino muito procurado.

Fazer parte desta selecção de fornecedores que a Evelyn e o Rex escolheram, foi um grande privilégio.
Hoje em dia tudo está a distância de um click, (é tão bom). Quando avançámos com a reunião por Skype, a Evelyn estava em Sao Francisco, o Rex em Nova York e nós em Lisboa. Trabalham ambos com aspectos criativos no dia-a-dia e das primeiras coisas que ouvimos deles foi: Analisámos o vosso trabalho, adorámos e por isso confiamos!
E assim foi! Deram total liberdade criativa e confiaram até ao último instante.

O casamento da Evelyn e do Rex aconteceu num majestoso Mosteiro do século XII. Recentemente renovado pelo arquitecto português, vencedor do Pritzker Prize, Eduardo Souto de Moura. O espaço, convertido na actual Pousada Santa Maria de Bouro em Amares, no norte de Portugal, resultou numa simbiose de modernidade e história. Perfeito!

A cerimónia foi conduzida de uma forma doce e terna. O pai do Rex foi o celebrante especial.
A Evelyn e o Rex escreveram os votos juntos e partilharam as palavras com todos.
Aqui deste lado, há sempre uma choramingas que não se contem com palavras bonitas e por isso, houve algumas lágrimas aqui deste lado também.

Aqui fica a recordação de um dia muito especial.
