Nina and Henrik are in a restaurant.
The same restaurant where they had their first new year together. That new year, they became official!
On this milestone restaurant, on a late summer night, Henrik got down on one knee and asked the question: “Nina Bak Fantoft will you marry me?”
Not only was the place special, but also the date. On that day, one year before, Nina and Henrik were brought together by a Tinder match! Yes, people! Tinder! It happens, and for some people, it actually works!
Henrik wanted the proposal to be magic. He achieved his goal, and Nina said yes!

Nina and Henrik live in Oslo. They wanted a traditional wedding, attended by the people they love and to be a reflection of who they are.
The date was set. August was their month. Soon after the proposal, Nina and Henrik started to plan the wedding of their dreams.
Being that both wanted to have a big traditional wedding, they choose the Dalen Hotel in Telemark, a region in Norway. This venue was perfect for them. It is full of history and soul. Their Telemark Norway wedding was starting to take shape!
They decided that a two-day celebration was a good idea, given that, this way, guests would have time to know each other and also it gives everyone more time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
This Telemark Norway wedding was set in an area of incredible beauty. It’s a fairytale-like place where Vikings used to rule. The venue was chosen with that in mind, a traditional wedding in a traditional place.

This traditional wedding started on a Friday. One of the reasons why Nina and Henrik chose the Dalen hotel, was that they own a historic boat, MS Henrik Ibsen. The couple thought that it was a lovely idea to kick off this Telemark Norway wedding by sailing on the great lake of Bandak. All the guests were there. It was superb! Memories where being created. Everyone was enjoying and soaking in the enormous beauty of Norwegian nature!

Saturday came. The big day! Nina and Henrik were getting ready. The anticipation and excitement were felt in the air. The groom and some guests had on Bunad clothes. These are traditional Norwegian clothes. They are both folk and romantic. The bunad clothing gave an additional aura of romanticism to this traditional wedding. Nina was glowing! Her dress and veil also had a romantic feel. Things were coming together perfectly. Nina and Henrik looked perfect and stunning!
A traditional wedding requires a traditional church. That’s exactly what Nina and Henrik were looking for. And that’s what they found! An old stave church. These churches are from medieval times, therefore, the first built in Norway. The Eidsborg Stave Church is located near the Dalen Hotel. It goes back to the year 1200 and it’s said to have been built on top of an old Viking grave! It doesn’t get better than this when it comes to tradition and romanticism!
The ceremony started with a man ringing bells. In the stave church aisle. This alone made us realize, that this Telemark Norway wedding was not only a celebration of love but also a celebration of Norway and its traditions and costumes. The flower girls were also dressed in bunad clothes.

The ceremony, just as everything else, was a true reflection of Nina’s and Henrik’s tastes and personalities. It was endearing and emotional. Already, wife and husband, they walked down the aisle, following a violinist. They couldn’t take the smiles off their faces!
This Telemark Norway wedding was beautiful! Everything was so well thought of! I was in awe of the bunad clothes! Nina and Henrik planned this wedding on their own, and they did a terrific job! Tradition in an unbelievably beautiful place full of mysticism and romance!
A Tinder romance with a fairytale ending. In Nina’s words: “It’s that special kind of love that feels right in all shapes and forms and the feeling of having known each other our entire lives.”
Let’s raise a glass for Nina and Henrik and wish and hope that their fairytale wedding lasts forever!

A Nina e o Henrik estão num restaurante.
O mesmo restaurante onde passaram a primeira passagem de ano juntos. Nessa passagem de ano, o relacionamento deles tornou-se oficial!
Nesse restaurante marcante, numa tarde de verão, o Henrik ajoelhou-se e fez a pergunta: “Nina Bak Fantoft queres casar comigo?”
Não só era o lugar especial, mas também a data. Naquele dia, um ano antes, a Nina e Henrik encontraram-se um ao outro! No Tinder! Sim pessoas! Tinder! Acontece e, para algumas pessoas, funciona!
O Henrik queria que o pedido fosse mágico! Claramente, alcançou o seu objetivo, e a Nina disse sim!

A Nina e o Henrik moram em Oslo. Sempre quiseram um casamento tradicional, com as pessoas que mais amam reunidas. Um casamento tradicional que espelhasse quem são.
A data foi definida. O mês de Agosto preferido. Logo após o noivado, a Nina e o Henrik começaram a planear o casamento tradicional dos seus sonhos.
Sendo que ambos queriam um grande casamento tradicional, escolheram o hotel Dalen em Telemark, uma região na Noruega. Um sítio perfeito, carregado de história e alma. Este casamento em Telemark na Noruega começava a ganhar forma!
Decidiram que uma comemoração de dois dias seria uma boa ideia, já que, assim, os convidados teriam tempo de se conhecerem e, além disso, daria a todos mais tempo para apreciar a espantosa paisagem. É um lugar de conto de fadas onde os vikings eram reis e senhores. O local foi escolhido com isso em mente, um casamento tradicional num lugar tradicional. A beleza da paisagem é indescritível! Um casamento em Telemark na Noruega tem todos os ingredientes para ser memorável!

Este casamento tradicional começou numa sexta-feira. Uma das razões pelas quais a Nina e o Henrik escolheram o hotel Dalen foi, o facto de o hotel ter um barco próprio, o MS Henrik Ibsen. O casal achou que seria espectacular começar as celebrações a navegar no grande lago de Bandak. Todos os convidados estavam presentes. Foi soberbo! Um espaço e um tempo para criar memórias. Toda a gente estava divertida enquanto o barco ia lentamente mergulhando na enorme beleza da paisagem norueguesa!

Sábado chegou. O grande dia! Enquanto a Nina e o Henrik se preparavam, a antecipação e excitação eram sentidas no ar. O noivo e alguns convidados envergavam roupas Bunad. São roupas norueguesas tradicionais, folclóricas e românticas. As roupas bunad conferiram uma aura adicional de romantismo a este casamento tradicional. A Nina estava linda! O vestido de noiva e o véu, partilhavam esta sensação romântica que se sentia no ar! Tudo se encaixava perfeitamente! A Nina e o Henrik estavam deslumbrantes!
Um casamento tradicional requer uma igreja tradicional. Era o que a Nina e o Henrik procuravam. E foi isso que encontraram! Uma antiga igreja de madeira. Estas igrejas são dos tempos medievais, logo, das primeiras construídas na Noruega. A Igreja Eidsborg está localizada perto do Hotel Dalen. Remonta ao ano de 1200 e diz-se que foi construída por cima de um velho túmulo viking! Não há melhor que isto quando se quer tradição e romantismo!
A cerimónia começou com um homem a tocar os sinos. No corredor da igreja. Bastava isto para perceber que este casamento em Telemark na Noruega não era apenas uma celebração de amor, mas também uma celebração da Noruega, com as suas tradições e costumes. As meninas das flores também estavam vestidas com roupas de Bunad.

A cerimónia, bem como todo o resto, foi um verdadeiro reflexo dos gostos e personalidades da Nina e do Henrik. Foi cativante e emocional. Já, esposa e marido, caminharam pelo corredor da igreja, seguindo o violinista. Não conseguiam parar de sorrir!
Este casamento em Telemark na Noruega foi lindo! Tudo muito bem pensado! Eu fiquei maravilhada com as roupas bunad! A Nina e o Henrik planearam este casamento sozinhos e fizeram um óptimo trabalho! Tradição num lugar inacreditavelmente bonito, cheio de misticismo e romance!
Um romance “Tinder” com um final de conto de fadas.
Nas palavras de Nina: “É esse tipo especial de amor que parece certo em todas as formas, e a sensação de nos conhecermos toda a nossa vida”.
